Vega, Whole Foods Supplement

Vega is a plant-based whole foods supplement and supplies 100% of your RDA’s of vitamins and minerals. The recommended amount per serving is two scoops (65 grams for vanilla and 71 grams for chocolate) which supplies 40% of calories from protein, 30% from fat and 30% from carbs. It’s very expensive so I am only using one scoop per smoothie. I think the cost is worth it for the nutritional benefits I will get from it.

I made a smoothie with it this morning consisting of:

200g frozen strawberries
1 cup of hemp milk
35g of chocolate Vega (half a serving)

The ratios of my shake: 21% protein, 50% carbs, 29% fat

And here is the nutritional profile for my shake:

It definitely helps to get all your nutrition when you aren't eating many calories, I just wish the price tag wasn't so hefty!
